My Story

xxxx

Change is scary and hard, and the fear of failure or judgement can keep us paralysed at the same place.  At Pivot Point, I work to help you understand your options, to see it as fresh opportunity and to move forward in a calm and considered way

Divorce and Breakup – I believe that every person can emerge from the challenges of divorce stronger and more fulfilled. I’m here to support you through personalized coaching, practical tools, and dedicated career guidance. Whether you’re struggling with the initial stages of your separation or looking to rebuild your life, I am right here by your side.

Through my managerial and leadership positions, recruitment experience and qualification as a divorce and break up coach as a career coach, I bring a unique perspective to helping you navigate the personal and profession at the same time. I am naturally curious, empathetic and people-focused and gain real satisfaction from playing even a small part in the success and wellbeing of others.

Career:

‘Career’ – seems such a simple phrase, yet it’s an umbrella word for a number of different jobs, different experiences and full of ups and downs. This has certainly been the case for me and yet I now use it to fuel my passion and drive for helping others.

My passion is to help people flourish in today’s world of work – coaching, helping them realise their potential, navigating their way within the workplace politics and finding their voice.  I help individuals to understand their strengths, personal preferences, their stress triggers, their ‘I have had enough!’ points, and most importantly – where are they stuck and help them understand the options available to them and to move towards that, pivoting away from what keeps them stuck whilst supporting them.

I worked in the corporate world for 18 years across a breadth of recruitment, talent development and internal HR Business Partner Roles spanning industries such as Publishing, Law, Management Consultancy and Asset Management.  I have worked with Heads of Businesses, Managers and Employees on large scale HR initiatives and hiring through to bespoke individual work across recruitment, talent development, promotions, performance, career development, culture to name but a few which gives me a unique insight into both finding a role but importantly how to manage your career within the profession you have chosen, or to pivot into a new one.

It’s not easy to change:  my personal experience of experiencing a significant life event (divorce) while trying to uphold a professional career, having to learn to overcome my own limiting beliefs after divorce forced me to a standstill.  It was dark, lonely, scary and I felt lost – I felt that I had ‘failed’, that I had no idea what to do and how to do it.

In time I retrained as a divorce and break up coach and combining that with my career coaching I found new purpose in working with those during and after divorce, those scared about making the changes in their career, those that have be dealt a significant personal or professional blow and feel stuck.  I care deeply now for the individual, not the corporate cool-aid.

Part of my time I also work for the charity engaging with communities to reconnect to the ‘other’ world outside of the corporate grind. It keeps me grounded!
